1Jun, 2025
resilience

Global supply chain risks continue to spiral, testing even the most experienced logistics professionals. From tariffs and trade policy shifts to natural disasters and geopolitical events, recent disruptions have shown that flexibility and resilience are critical.

At Everglory Logistics, we help clients navigate this complexity with expertise built on real-world experience. This includes recent coverage of tariff impacts and trade updates like our April 2025 Tariff Update and Understanding the 232 Tariffs.

Key Recent Disruptions:

  • Global tariff fluctuations: From the recent 90-day tariff reduction to Section 232 investigations, trade policy changes add cost and timing risk.

  • Port congestion and blank sailings: Equipment shortages and capacity shifts impact trans-Pacific trade lanes.

  • Geopolitical tensions: Regional conflicts can lead to sanctions, restricted lanes, and sourcing shifts.

  • Climate-related disruptions: Severe weather events disrupt port and inland operations worldwide.

Building Supply Chain Resilience:

To manage global supply chain risks effectively:

  • Diversify your sourcing: Spread suppliers across regions to avoid single points of failure.

  • Improve visibility: Use real-time tracking and supply chain monitoring tools.

  • Scenario planning: Model various risk scenarios and create contingency plans.

  • Flexible contracts: Negotiate adaptable terms for rates, capacity, and lead times.

  • Partner with experts: Work with logistics providers like Everglory, which stay ahead of global trends and can advise on risk mitigation strategies.

Why It Matters:

Supply chain disruptions are nothing new, and they’re not going away. Businesses that invest in resilience can not only survive — but thrive — when the next challenge arises.

Security is everyone's responsibility. All employees and business partners, including contractors, service providers, and visitors are educated and must comply with the company's CTPAT policies and procedures that are in place at each facility.
