The Section 301 tariff has been expanded, including to China.
It will be structured the same as Section 122 was. Exemptions remain in place for Section 232
(steel, aluminum, and copper), civil aircraft, pharmaceuticals, and certain printed matter. No
changes there. Additionally, if an ocean vessel sailed prior to 12:00 AM on July 24th, 2026, the
previous rates apply.
Every country is either 10% or 12.5%. See below for the countries we primarily work with. China
specifically (including Hong Kong) is 12.5%. That said, the existing Section 301 tariff (7.5% or
25%) is not exempted.
What this means for China is an additional 2.5% for general commodities. For commodities that
were previously exempted, there is no change.
